THE PARISH BOUNDARIES WELCOME to New Parishioners We are most happy to welcome new members to our parish community and invite new members to introduce themselves to a member of the parish pastoral council. We want to know and serve you. We pray that you will also become involved in your Parish by favouring us with your prayers, presence, talents and financial assistance according to your means. Parish registration cards are on the table at the back of church. Registered parishioners are asked to notify the parish of any address change. Weekends -Saturdays Vigil 6.00 p.m. Weekdays -Mondays 9:30 a.m. -Fridays 9:30 a.m. Holydays of Obligation on a weekday. Vigil of the Feast 6.30 p.m. 10 a.m on the Feast day itself. Rosary for Priestly Vocations after Thursday Mass Rosary and Benediction on Sundays 5 p.m in the months of May and October. Stations of the Cross on Sundays in Lent at 5 p.m. Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) -Saturday evenings 5.00 p.m. to 5.45 p.m. -After weekday Masses -From 7pm before Tuesday Evening Mass - and also by appointment with Fr. Paul. Are you interested in becoming a Catholic? We offer the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) which is a sacramental process for both baptized and non-baptized adults who desire to join the Catholic Church. Call Fr Paul: 01661 832298. Infant Baptism: We ask parents to be registered in the parish for three months and be attending Sunday Mass. Also required are two preparations sessions of about 1 hour prior to setting a date for the baptism. First Confession and First Communion: Preparation is a partnership between home, parish and parish school, in which children are expected to attend Sunday Mass regularly. Children who are not attending a Catholic school are expected to be attending Mass and the Children Liturgy of the Word regularly for at least three months before a bespoke catechetical preparation program is set up for them in the parish. Marriage: Engaged couples must be registered in the parish and attend Sunday Mass regularly. The marriage preparation process takes at least 6 months. They will be expected to attend a “Marriage Care” Preparation Day Course in February or March with other couples.
